Black Friday is the biggest shopping weekend of the year, and every shop is shouting for attention. Black Friday Countdown puts a sleek black and yellow timer in the corner of your website. In the weeks before, it counts down to Black Friday. When the sale starts, it switches to counting down to the end of your sale, so visitors know exactly how long the deals last.

Two countdowns in one

• Before Black Friday, it counts down to the start of your sale: "Our biggest sale of the year starts in 9 days".
• During the sale, it counts down to the end: "Shop the deals before they are gone. The sale ends in 1 day, 6 hours".

Choose whether your sale ends with Black Friday itself, after the weekend, or after Cyber Monday. When the sale is over, the timer hides itself, and next November it comes back on its own.

Questions and answers

When is Black Friday?

Black Friday is the Friday after the fourth Thursday of November, the day after American Thanksgiving. In 2026 it is on 27 November, and Cyber Monday is on 30 November. The widget works out the date by itself every year.

What happens when the sale is over?

The timer hides itself as soon as your sale ends, at the end of Black Friday, the weekend or Cyber Monday, depending on what you choose. It shows up again in the weeks before next Black Friday.

Can I use it on Shopify?

Yes. Paste the line of code into your Shopify theme. It also works on WooCommerce, WordPress, Wix, Dandomain, Shoporama and any website where you can add a script.

Will it slow down my website?

No. It is a small script that loads after your page, and the timer runs in its own box without touching the rest of your website.
